The Canadian Stick Curling Championships begin today at the Maple Ridge Golden Ears CC. The format is Modified Double Knockout for 4 events – A, B, C, and Consolation - 21 draws of an hour each for teams of two players using only stick delivery. The final is Friday March 25.
Team Canada back end Darryl Neighbour and Jim Armstrong won a stick curling event at the same club last November.

2 on 2 stick tournament at Maple Ridge November 13-14
A 2 on 2 stick curling tournament will be held at the Golden Ears CC in Maple Ridge BC this weekend November 13-14.
Wheelchair and able-bodied teams will compete together. Darryl Neighbour is scheduled to compete again with his Team Canada skip Jim Armstrong in what would be Jim's first appearance since his legal problems became public.

The 3rd annual '2 on 2' Golden Stick Open Bonspiel was held at the Golden Ears Winter Club in Maple Ridge BC this weekend. 18 teams took part, including 6 wheelchair pairs. The winner was Tim Gabert and partner, seen with Jim and Darryl, and Rich Green and Gary Cormack in the photos above.

2-on-2 bonspiel at Golden Ears CC (BC) Nov 14-15
Twenty teams have registered for the stick bonspiel being held at the Golden Ears Winter Club in Maple Ridge, BC, this weekend. There will be three Korean teams playing as well as Jim Armstrong and Darryl Neighbour from Team Canada and several other local wheelchair curlers.
Matches are 6 ends, with 6 rocks per end. All participants must use delivery sticks. Sweeping is allowed in front of the hogline. First draw is at 9qm Saturday and games continue through midday Sunday.
